Our senior team of Certified and Accredited Domestic Energy Assessors can offer comprehensive professional advice covering a wide range of energy efficiency matters. This includes providing an Energy Performance Certificate for a specific property, consideration for future improvements and assisting in the purchase process of a property through provision of the Home Information Pack.

Domestic Energy Assessments

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a compulsory element of a Home Information Pack. An EPC gives any potential house buyer information on the energy rating of a home, from A to G, helping to achieve lower fuel bills and reduced carbon emissions. The DEA will undertake an inspection of each home and collect data for input into a Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP). For example, information on the size and age of the property will be recorded together with the type and extent of the heating system. Every room within the property, including the roof void (where accessible), will require a physical inspection. The RdSAP has been developed specifically to assess the energy performance of a domestic property based on this visual inspection. Each of our Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) are certified and accredited with a government approved scheme. All our employees undertaking the actual DEA inspections are qualified. This means our DEA’s entering the sellers homes will be ‘fit and proper’ persons

Home Information Packs

If you are selling a home you will need a Home Information Pack to show to potential buyers. Home Information Packs (HIP’s) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) were introduced to the housing market on a phased basis on August 1 2007 starting with four bedroom homes and above. From 10 September 2007 HIP’s and EPC’s will be rolled out to three bedroom homes. Included within the documents will be a sale statement, searches and evidence of title. The packs help to cut costs for consumers by increasing transparency and competition in the home buying and selling process. We can provide Home Information Packs direct to you using a variety of financing options to suit your business needs. The benefit is that you stay in control of the process using a local Domestic Energy Assessor from an established business.
